Many people think that networking is a waste of time and you know what, they are right! The problem is that people ‘do’ networking the wrong way. Have you ever experienced any of these?

She has worked out how to help you overcome this lack of confidence by following this successful 3-step networking process:
The first step is to ask the right questions to get to know the person you are talking to. The point of this first step is try to understand and focus on the other person. Who are they, what are they interested in, what are their business problems, what types of people are they interested in connecting with. Kerryn helps you with some great ice-breaker questions.
Now you know some more about the other person, use this to connect or match them with information and people that you know from your existing network. That's right it's about what you can do to help them. If you have asked and answered the questions from step one successfully, then this should be a shared experience where both parties gain possible contacts and important information.
Now that you have helped the other person, it is time to learn more about them by exploring around what you have already discovered. It is amazing what you can learn about people from a short 10 minute conversation. Now that you know more about this person as a person, and not just a business card or profession, you will feel much more confident to connect with them again on another occasion.
When I meet someone for the first time, I always look for something unique that they are willing to share. Once they have done that, I know that we have established some trust. If you look to build trust and connection, then you will win in business and life.
